Job Title: Clerk Of Works

Location: Sunbury, with occasional travel to other bp locations

Salary: £44,000 - £53,000 (OTE dependent on experience)

Hours: Office hours, with willingness to work some weekends

Mainstay Recruitment is seeking a Clerk Of Works for our client in Sunbury, North London. This role will report to the Senior Control of Works within the engineering team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the safety of all works across site, issuing permits for high-risk activities, and providing health and safety guidance to technical, facilities, and project teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor high and low-risk activities on site, liaising with contractors, project managers, engineering, and soft services teams
  • Issue permits for high-risk activities, such as working at height, ground disturbance, and hot works
  • Review and provide comments on Risk Assessments and Method Statements
  • Write Risk Assessments and Method Statements for the engineering team
  • Liaise with contractors and work owners to ensure compliance with safety protocols
