We are seeking an outstanding midwifery leader with a proven track record in team management or the potential to cultivate this capability. In your role as the lead coordinator, you will collaborate with various clinical departments and specialties within our unit, serving as a strong advocate for our clients. You will provide expert guidance to staff within the maternity unit and support your colleagues and the broader multi-disciplinary team to ensure safety and deliver an exceptional standard of care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Lead Coordinator for the Enhanced Midwifery Team, focusing on vulnerable women and families facing safeguarding issues.
  • Collaborate with maternity services, including Hospital and Community Midwifery Teams, to oversee assessments and care plans for women with safeguarding concerns.
  • Offer advice, guidance, and safeguarding supervision across maternity services.
  • Facilitate practice development and provide safeguarding training.
  • Act as a deputy for the Named Midwife when necessary.
