We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Chemist to join our team at Concrete4Change, a leading R&D company in the field of carbon utilization. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in developing innovative technologies to utilize and mineralize CO2 in concrete.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct research and development of new carbon utilization technologies, leveraging existing capabilities and expertise.
- Contribute to the development of intellectual property (IPR) for CO2 carrier technologies.
- Collaborate with our team to develop grant project proposals for funding agencies such as Innovate UK, European Innovation Council, UKRI, and Horizon Europe.
- Plan, procure, and manage the chemical laboratory in line with regulations.
- Evaluate carbon capture and utilization (CCU) techniques on the properties and long-term performance of cement-based materials.
- Conduct cost-benefit analysis and life cycle assessment (LCA) of materials developed.
- Manage the technical team, projects, and help expand the team.
- BSc and PhD in Chemistry (or relevant advanced research experience).
- Understanding of carbonation mechanisms and critical assessment of CO2 uptake.
- Extensive experience in Carbon Dioxide Utilization.
- In-depth knowledge of your specialist strand.
- Demonstratable understanding of organic, inorganic, and physical chemistry.
