Research Scientist

We are seeking a highly skilled Research & Development Chemist to join our team at Concrete4Change, a pioneering R&D company developing groundbreaking technology to utilize and permanently mineralize CO2 in concrete.
As a Research & Development Chemist, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, including the development of new cement chemistry knowledge for carbon capture and utilization in concrete, evaluation of carbon capture and utilization techniques on the properties and long-term performance of cement-based materials, and management of the technical team and projects.
Our company is partly owned by two of the largest concrete manufacturers in the world, and we are running several projects in partnership with top universities, including the University of Nottingham, University of Sheffield, and University of Warwick.

Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the development of new cement chemistry knowledge for carbon capture and utilization in concrete
- Evaluate carbon capture and utilization techniques on the properties and long-term performance of cement-based materials
- Manage the technical team and projects
- Collaborate with our partners, including top universities and concrete manufacturers
Requirements:
- PhD in Chemistry or relevant advanced research experience
- Demonstratable understanding of organic, inorganic, and physical chemistry
- Post-PhD experience
- Experience with cement chemistry
