Director of Biological Sciences

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Biological Sciences to join our Faculty at Fullbrook. As a leading member of the Learning Partners Academy Trust, we are committed to delivering excellent results and providing a supportive and inclusive learning environment for our students.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of the Biology curriculum, ensuring it is engaging, challenging, and relevant to our students' needs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design and deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences that meet the needs of all students.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the Biology curriculum, making recommendations for improvement.
  • Provide guidance and support to colleagues to ensure they are equipped to teach Biology effectively.
  • Contribute to the development of the Faculty's strategic plan, ensuring it aligns with the school's vision and goals.

Requirements

  • Proven experience of leading a team and developing curriculum.
  • Excellent teaching and leadership skills, with a strong track record of improving student outcomes.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve shared goals.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Passion for Biology and commitment to delivering high-quality education.
