Senior Information Governance Specialist

Lorien's leading public sector client is seeking a Senior Information Governance Specialist to support their programme on an initial 3-month contract.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice on Data Protection knowledge and expertise to support the Technology Service in developing and delivering the data programme.
  • Lead the assurance process to ensure the lawful and secure processing of personal identifiable data in the delivery of the national programme.
  • Ensure that new software/technical solutions adhere to data protection legislative requirements and associated risks are mitigated.
  • Apply expert Data Protection knowledge in drafting accountability and governance documentation, including Data Protection Impact Assessments and Information Sharing Agreements.

About the Role:

This is a hybrid role based in Edinburgh or Glasgow, with a focus on providing specialist advice and leadership to support the programme's data protection needs.

What You'll Need:

  • Proven experience in Data Protection and Information Governance
  • Expertise in data protection legislative requirements
  • Strong leadership and assurance skills
  • Ability to apply expert knowledge in drafting governance documentation
