Regulatory Compliance Specialist

A well-established manufacturer of household and cleaning chemicals is currently seeking a skilled Regulatory Compliance Specialist to join their team based in the Norfolk region.

Reporting into the Head of R&D, the successful candidate will bring knowledge of chemical regulations from the household, biocides, personal care, agrochemicals or wider chemicals industry to support the ongoing development of products.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Providing support to the Head of R&D in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  2. Managing company global consumable product labelling and safety data sheet information to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  3. Supporting the creation and submission of regulatory applications for company biocidal products, REACh and other associated regulations.
  4. Administering company global biocidal regulatory authorisations and renewals, and any applications for exemptions for REACh related work.
  5. Reading, analysing and sifting through large regulatory texts to identify pertinent information and provide guidance to the team.
  6. Providing internal guidance on the impact of regulations to proposed new and existing product technologies.
  7. Knowledge and understanding of global biocidal product regulations, REACh, Detergents regulation, labelling (CLP) and MSDS.
  8. Supporting the team with any compliance-related activities and advocating the company position on relevant regulatory topics.
Requirements:
  1. Experience in a Regulatory Affairs or an R&D role where regulatory compliance was part of regular duties.
  2. Experience within the chemicals or related industries.
  3. Ability to communicate with internal and external individuals at all levels.
  4. Excellent attention to detail.
  5. Fluent English communication skills - both verbal and written, with a confident and professional telephone manner.
  6. Good education, degree level preferably in a scientific discipline.
  7. Excellent Microsoft Office skills.
  8. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  9. Ability to work as part of a cross-functional team.
  10. Exceptional organisational skills.
