About the Role

The City of Wolverhampton Council is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Contracts Business Partner to join our Commercial Services team. This is a brand-new role that has been created to continue the delivery of the contract lifecycle management (CLM) programme.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and implement the CLM programme, working closely with the Head of Commercial Services.
  • Provide strategic commercial CLM advice and implement and maintain CLM policies and frameworks.
  • Develop and maintain training for the Commercial Contracts team.
  • Manage the day-to-day activities of the team, ensuring effective delivery of CLM services.
  • Oversight of the CLM system to ensure value for money and efficiencies are driven, adhering to key relevant compliance requirements.
Requirements
  • Significant strategic knowledge and experience of commercial CLM.
  • Ability to communicate and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders while leading change.
  • Collaborative mindset, with the skills and attitude to work with colleagues and stakeholders in an agile way to achieve the best possible outcomes.
  • Keen to share knowledge and experience to help stakeholders and build their skills within the organisation and Commercial team.
