About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our dynamic team at Reed Hospitality & Leisure. As a key member of our culinary operations, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional banqueting experiences and high-volume catering services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop and execute menus for large-scale events and banquets, ensuring high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene.
  • Oversee kitchen operations, managing inventory levels, and ordering supplies as needed to maintain a seamless and efficient workflow.
  • Lead and train kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment that promotes creativity and innovation.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe and healthy working environment for all staff.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a high-volume catering or banqueting environment, with a strong background in menu planning and kitchen operations.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff to achieve exceptional results.
  • Strong culinary skills, with a creative flair and attention to detail, ensuring high-quality dishes that exceed customer expectations.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meeting tight deadlines and maintaining a calm and composed demeanor in fast-paced environments.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards, with a commitment to maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen environment.
