Job Title: Trainee Teaching Assistant

Protocol Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Trainee Teaching Assistant. As a Trainee Teaching Assistant, you will have the opportunity to work in a variety of different schools and alternative provision settings, supporting children of different ages and abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work alongside the class teacher to provide support to children and in some cases on a 1:1 basis.
  • Manage the behaviour of pupils whilst they undertake their work and ensure a constructive and positive environment is always enforced.
  • De-escalate situations within the classroom in the correct way, certifying safeguarding procedures are always adhered.
  • Carry out small group work and work with children with additional needs.
  • Report any safeguarding concerns using the school's referral procedures and safeguarding policies.

  • A positive attitude and a flexible and enthusiastic approach to work.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • A passion for making a difference to the lives of children.
