Position Overview

This is a contract opportunity for a skilled CAD Technician specializing in the automotive sector. The ideal candidate will possess substantial experience with Siemens NX for engineering applications and familiarity with Teamcenter.

Essential Skills Required:

CAD Technician, Siemens NX, Complex Assemblies, Teamcenter

This position is available on a contract basis.

Work Arrangement:

Hybrid model - 2 days per week on-site.

Primary Objective of the Role:

To execute drawing tasks for injector and fuel pump schematics in accordance with engineering specifications, including related sub-components.

Key Responsibilities:

In this role, you will:

  • Produce precise drawings for injectors, high-pressure fuel pumps, and related sub-components that meet specified criteria.
  • Generate detailed schematics for testing apparatus in line with established standards.
  • Create or amend 2D and 3D models using the Siemens NX CAD software.
  • Oversee drawing data management within Siemens Teamcenter PLM.
  • Review drawings against established standards and requirements, implementing necessary modifications.
  • Facilitate the approval process to ensure timely delivery of outputs.
  • Identify and communicate opportunities for process and drawing enhancements to the wider team.
  • Engage in personal development through the review process to gain a comprehensive understanding of drawing standards and achieve first-time accuracy in drawings.

Qualifications:

  • Expertise in 3D CAD applications.
  • Experience with Siemens NX CAD and Teamcenter PLM.
  • Meticulous attention to detail with a proven ability to produce high-quality drawings.
  • Knowledge of automotive engineering standards and requirements.
  • Capability to work autonomously and manage workflow through approval stages.
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on identifying process improvements.
