Job Title: Senior CAD Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior CAD Engineer to join our team as a Technical Lead for Body Structures. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the technical delivery of tasks and activities assigned to them by their module team line manager.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead the technical delivery of tasks and activities assigned to the module team.
  2. Develop and maintain 3D geometry and sectional data using Catia v5/v6.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve results.
  4. Ensure compliance with company procedures and quality standards.
  5. Participate in process improvements and drive closure of issues.
  6. Develop timing plans and scope-of-work documents.
  7. Support the development of engineering systems and quality systems.
  8. Benchmark competitor vehicles and report findings.
  9. Support the development of design rules and guidelines.
  10. Deliver engineering project work for both parent company and 3rd party customers.

Requirements:

  1. Degree qualified or similar qualification as a minimum.
  2. CAD operation skills required.
  3. Catia v5/v6 operative skills.
  4. Experience of using TCUA and PLM preferable.
  5. Engineering experience in delivery of designated module systems in the automotive sector or similar industries.
  6. Evidence of engineering skills, including ability to manage and resolve engineering issues.
  7. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  8. English is essential; a second language would be advantageous.
