Lead Technical Support Engineer Opportunity at Leonardo

Become a vital member of our Customer Support and Service Solutions (CS3) division at Leonardo, where we are in search of a skilled Lead Technical Support Engineer. The CS3 division operates throughout the UK, delivering cutting-edge support solutions to our clientele, ensuring the availability of front-line capabilities.

This position involves collaboration with various teams, focusing on the maintenance and support of critical systems. We are looking for professionals who thrive in demanding technical settings, capable of working independently and under pressure to assist the UK's operational fleet.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct standard serviceability assessments, troubleshooting, and repairs on RADAR, Defensive Aids Sub-System (DASS), and Avionics equipment.
  • Work closely with the management team to prioritize repair tasks effectively.
  • Oversee the inventory management of spare parts and consumables, addressing any shortages.
  • Comply with contractual obligations and local regulations while upholding best engineering practices.
  • Identify potential risks and opportunities for enhancing business operations.
  • Support the creation and adherence to Maintenance Approved Organisation Scheme (MAOS) documentation.
  • Follow established procedures as outlined by the Leonardo Joint Avionics Service (JAS) Contract.

Qualifications:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Self-motivated with a commitment to continuous improvement and engineering excellence.
  • Capability to operate with minimal supervision in challenging technical environments.
  • Effectively manage tasks in high-pressure situations and communicate technical solutions clearly.
  • Previous experience with Technical Diagnostic Test Equipment and Avionics maintenance is advantageous.
  • ONC in electrical, digital electronics, Avionics discipline, or equivalent experience is preferred.
