Job Summary:
Sanctuary Personnel Ltd is seeking a Clinical Nurse Specialist to provide direct assessment, support, and advocacy to service users and carers managing complex, distressing, and life-limiting illnesses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Empower and facilitate all professionals to meet the care needs of service users and their carers by contributing to education and promoting the principles and philosophy of care.
- Mentor and supervise junior team members, including pre-registration students.
- Work in partnership with senior nurses and the management team to share local knowledge and developments.
- Foster positive relationships between nursing teams, departments, professionals, and personnel both internally and externally.
- Work within multi-disciplinary and primary healthcare teams.
- Develop and maintain awareness of own role within the speciality and across local health networks.
- Stay politically aware regarding healthcare structures and developments.
- Manage own caseload, providing expert holistic specialist care.
- Promote choice in clinical practice and enable concerns and complaints to be raised freely.
- Contribute to research, clinical audit, and benchmarking to monitor and improve service user safety and experience.
- Contribute to quality improvement policies and plans.
- Maintain own professional development.
- Evidence of continued professional development within a specialism.
- Must hold a Full UK driving licence.
Requirements:
- Demonstrable experience in neurological or palliative care.
