About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Employee Relations Specialist to join our HR Division as a specialist ER team member. As a subject matter expert, you will influence, challenge, advise, and coach the business on all Employee Relations issues to drive consistent application of people practices across the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a broad and varied caseload, including performance, sickness, and conduct cases
  • Support, advise, coach, and provide constructive challenge to managers to help guide them on their decisions
  • Be involved in wider ER work, such as policy reviews, project management, supplier management, employee wellbeing, and ensuring effective Union relationships
  • Research, identify, and proactively report on ER trends, risks, and issues to continuously improve service and support the business to be a Great Place to Work
Requirements
  • Experience in an ER role (or an HR role with a strong ER focus) with a thorough understanding of UK Employment Legislation and contractual obligations
  • Ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders, providing a consultative approach and applying expert ER knowledge and strong research skills
  • Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Empathy and resilience, with the ability to engage in sensitive and confidential discussions
