This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as a deep understanding of international development and audit principles. You'll be responsible for leading audit teams, preparing tailored plans for assignments, and presenting findings to clients and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead audit teams on international assignments, including locally based staff
- Prepare tailored plans for assignments based on a good understanding of the terms of reference and contractual conditions
- Present audit findings clearly and credibly to clients and stakeholders
- Identify issues and areas of non-compliance on assignments and write them up in detailed, precise, and clear reports
- Work to tight deadlines and manage time effectively
- Travel internationally for up to 40% of the time
Requirements:
- Professional accountancy qualification (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
- Experience in audit work, ideally cross-border, not-for-profit, public sector, or grant-related audit
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
- Fluency in a second language, especially French, Spanish, German, Arabic, or Portuguese
