Clinical Psychologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team at Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will work with older adults, providing high-quality psychological services and contributing to the development of a community-orientated service.
About the RoleThe Clinical Psychologist will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, providing assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of older adults with complex mental health issues. The role will involve working with patients, families, and carers to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Main Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive assessments of older adults with complex mental health issues
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and carers
- Provide evidence-based psychological interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy and other specialized therapies
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions
- Contribute to the development of a community-orientated service, working with local partners to promote mental health and well-being
- Doctoral level training in clinical psychology or equivalent
- Experience working with older adults, preferably in a mental health setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and carers
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality care
