Join PA Housing as an ASB Legal Officer and play a critical role in protecting the well-being and rights of vulnerable individuals. As a key member of our team, you will ensure the legal integrity of tenancy agreements and related matters for PA Housing.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide legal support, advice, and representation for PA Housing, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Ensure adherence to tenancy laws, regulations, and policies, and provide guidance to ensure legal compliance in all aspects of tenancy management.
- Mediate tenancy disputes, negotiate settlements, and provide legal advice and representation in dispute resolution processes, including tribunals and courts.
- Assist in the development and implementation of tenancy-related policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with legal requirements and best practices.
- Negotiate payment arrangements when required and help prevent evictions, support residents through the legal process, and offer general tenancy sustainment support, referring to relevant in-house teams and signposting to external support providers where required.
- Be the first point-of-contact liaison with external contractors employed to represent PA Housing in Court, including building networking and stakeholder relationships to maximize the effectiveness of the legal process and monitoring the performance of these contractors.
- Minimum of 2-3 years' experience within a customer service environment working for a Housing Association or other public service organization, in a capacity which involved face-to-face interaction with customers, resolving difficult issues.
- Experience in legal practice.

- An optional 9-day fortnight scheme, allowing you to compress your hours into nine days and enjoy a bonus day off every fortnight.
