Join a Leading Aerospace Firm as a Procurement Manager

We are on the lookout for a talented Procurement Manager to become a vital part of our team at Leonardo, a prominent global player in the Aerospace, Defence, and Security sectors. In this pivotal role, you will serve as the Procurement Lead for key programmes within our Electronic Warfare (EW) division.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and execute Procurement strategies tailored for the Typhoon platform
  • Oversee contractual agreements and foster relationships with suppliers
  • Manage subcontracting processes and supplier selection
  • Work collaboratively with internal departments to ensure alignment with Procurement strategies
  • Convert customer specifications into comprehensive procurement documentation

Requirements:

Essential:

  • Exceptional communication and relationship management skills
  • Proven experience in delivering subcontracted work packages
  • Relevant degree or equivalent professional experience
  • Solid understanding of commercial and legal frameworks within the Defence/Aerospace sector
  • Innovative thinking with a focus on adding value to the procurement function
  • Willingness to travel both nationally and internationally

Desirable:

  • Familiarity with Procurement processes in the Defence/Aerospace sector
  • Knowledge of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) in contractual agreements
  • Background in Business Studies
  • MCIPS qualification or progress towards it
  • Experience with integrated business systems such as SAP
