Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Repairs Supervisor to join our team at Essential Employment. As a Repairs Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading a team of high-performing repairs operatives to deliver exceptional work quality and efficient use of materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake complex diagnostics and coordinate multi-trade repair projects for repairs affecting multiple properties, demonstrating proficient level skills and experience across a range of trades, including carpentry, plumbing, decorating, plastering, and tiling.
  • Carry out toolbox talks and one-to-one meetings with operatives to ensure they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Conduct pre- and post-inspections on tenanted properties to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and to identify areas for improvement.
  • Manage the void team to ensure that voids are delivered within the agreed time scale.
  • Attend evening team meetings to ensure that the team is informed and aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Ensure that the team is responsive to internal and external customer needs, providing excellent customer service at all times.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety rules and regulations in all work actions, maintaining a safe and healthy working environment for all employees.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Repairs Supervisor or in a similar role.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
