Senior Analytical Chemist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Analytical Chemist to play a key role in the development, validation, and implementation of test methods for plant-derived ingredients used in pharmaceuticals and cosmetics.

About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a highly skilled analytical chemist to work closely with our production team to ensure the highest quality and rigor in the production of functional ingredients and medicinal products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, validate, and implement test methods for plant-derived ingredients using HPLC, LC-MS, GC, and GC-MS equipment.
  • Ensure sample preparations are carried out effectively following written standard operating procedures.
  • Research and devise experimental planning for the analysis of a range of products and quantify their chemical properties.
  • Support colleagues and functions across the business in relation to extraction techniques and proposed product formulations.
  • Present analytical results and reports to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
  • Maintain good laboratory housekeeping and ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines.
  • Ensure all analytical equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and records are up-to-date.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering (or related field).
  • Extensive experience working in a laboratory environment.
  • Familiarity with GMP and ISO standards.
  • Good level of IT skills.
  • Pharmaceutical industry experience is an advantage.
