About the Role
We are seeking to appoint enthusiastic and innovative Assistant Teachers to join our team at Buckinghamshire Council. As an Assistant Teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting the development of our students and contributing to their academic success.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist teaching staff in the classroom to enable students to learn effectively and supervise lessons where cover is required.
- Support the development of students' personal development by:
- Encouraging positive attitudes and good behaviour
- Providing pastoral and mentoring support
- Encouraging perseverance and completion of tasks
- Providing feedback
Requirements
We require Assistant Teachers with a varied skill set and welcome applications from candidates who have a secure knowledge base in either English, Mathematics or Science. You must be highly motivated, able to follow instructions and work with minimum supervision.
Desirable Qualities
Previous experience of working in a school setting or experience working/volunteering with young people aged 11-18 would be desirable.
