The Role

We are seeking a Director of Human Resources to enhance our Beauty Brands HR team. Reporting directly to the Global HR Director for Beauty & Fashion Brands, this position will be pivotal in steering the HR strategy for our Global Brand teams based in London, collaborating with esteemed brands such as Penhaligon's, Dr Barbara Sturm, and the Niche & Wellness Digital Hub.

In this capacity, you will serve as a strategic and trusted partner to the senior leadership of the Brands and their teams. Your focus will be on Organizational Development, Talent Management, and Employee Relations for a diverse group that includes creative, international marketing, brand development, and digital teams.

Your Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the HR Director and Brand General Managers to create an HR strategy that aligns with the Brands' vision and business objectives.
  • Lead organizational design initiatives and conduct business case and scenario planning.
  • Oversee integration projects effectively.
  • Promote a diverse and inclusive workplace in alignment with company values.
  • Partner with a Talent Acquisition Specialist to attract the most innovative and entrepreneurial talent in line with the Brands' vision.
  • Manage recruitment for key leadership positions and oversee agency relationships.
  • Act as the primary contact for HR-related issues, managing Employee Relations cases across the organization.
  • Collaborate with the Controlling team on budgeting and forecasting, ensuring effective headcount and cost management.
  • Work alongside the UK Reward teams to ensure a competitive compensation strategy and operational excellence.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators for the HR function.
Ideal Candidate Profile
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar HR role within the Beauty, Fashion, Luxury, or Consumer Goods sectors, preferably in creative and direct-to-consumer environments.
  • Essential HR generalist experience.
  • Possession of a CIPD qualification or equivalent, along with a solid understanding of UK employment law.
  • A strategic and collaborative business partner with strong influencing and negotiation capabilities.
  • Experience in line management is preferred.
  • Proficiency in organizational and headcount planning.
  • A self-motivated individual capable of working independently, managing multiple priorities, and proactively planning ahead.
  • Highly organized with strong prioritization skills.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation abilities, both verbal and written.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to derive insights from data.
  • Comfortable navigating complexity and ambiguity.
  • A keen sensitivity to luxury and meticulous attention to detail.
