As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to patients. This includes operating radiographic equipment, processing and evaluating images, and preparing them for interpretation by radiologists and surgeons.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain radiographic equipment, including the integrated computer system and corresponding hardware.
- Process and evaluate radiographs, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and accuracy.
- Prepare radiographs for final interpretation, including programming and contrast injection.
- Assist radiologists with procedures, such as film programming and contrast injection.
- Position patients to obtain the best possible views of affected areas.
- Greet and reassure patients, explaining exams in a clear and concise manner.
- Respond to after-hour call backs on an emergency basis.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
An Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology and a minimum of one year's job-related experience or equivalent is required. CPR certification is also necessary. Registration from the ARRT is required for this position.
