Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Deputy Stage Manager to join our Stage Management team at the Royal Academy of Dance. The successful candidate will be responsible for deputising for the Stage Manager, assisting with rehearsals and performances, and supporting other departmental activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deputise for the Stage Manager as required, during rehearsals and performances
  • Assist with other related departmental activities, including stage management and technical support
  • Work closely with creative and technical personnel, as well as performers, to ensure smooth production delivery
  • Provide support and guidance to junior staff members, as needed

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years' experience working as a Deputy Stage Manager in a similar role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required

Working Arrangements:

The position is based at the Royal Academy of Dance's Production Studios, although some hybrid working may be available. The successful candidate will be required to work closely with the Stage Management team to ensure the smooth delivery of productions.
