As a Product Manager focusing on Legacy Solutions, you will be responsible for the comprehensive management of legacy products within the HID Physical Access Control Solutions (PACS) portfolio. This role is pivotal in connecting product development with operational and support teams to ensure the delivery of exceptional products and customer satisfaction.

To excel in this position, candidates should possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in product management, particularly in electro-mechanical and embedded firmware systems, with a strong background in RFID and physical access control technologies.

In this role, you will lead initiatives aimed at maintaining and enhancing the legacy product portfolio, collaborating with a global team of Business/Epic owners, Product Owners, Engineers, and Operations professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Spearhead activities for the legacy product portfolio, aiming to deliver unique solutions that enhance customer experience.
  • Define and articulate clear product requirements that address both internal and external market challenges.
  • Ensure that portfolio initiatives align with the strategic vision and business objectives of the legacy product roadmap.
  • Manage changes to the product vision and roadmap in accordance with broader strategic themes.
  • Identify optimization opportunities through continuous improvement and value analysis efforts.
  • Drive results-oriented outcomes, developing metrics to assess product line effectiveness against budgetary constraints.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams utilizing Agile methodologies to align marketing, sales, and product units for revenue growth.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive Go-to-Market strategies for the lifecycle management of existing products.

Qualifications:

  • Proven expertise in product development from concept through to launch.
  • Experience in product management across diverse customer segments and technology development methodologies.
  • Ability to navigate complex trade-offs with informed risk management.
  • Strong market awareness and the ability to anticipate evolving business needs.
  • Strategic mindset with effective project management skills.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and capable of producing high-quality documentation.
  • Demonstrated leadership across functions including Sales, Quality, Finance, and Operations.
  • Capacity to challenge existing processes and foster a culture of change.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools and analysis platforms.
  • Familiarity with product management tools is advantageous.

Experience and Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field (Master's degree is a plus).
  • At least 5 years of experience in Product Management or a similar capacity.
  • In-depth knowledge of contactless RFID technology, including hardware and firmware.
  • Strong understanding of the physical access control and security sectors.
  • Experience with Agile development and lean innovation practices.
  • Training in SAFe methodologies is beneficial.

Customer Engagement:

  • Ability to interpret and manage internal requirements and customer specifications.
  • Proven track record of excellence in customer relations.
