About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join our team. As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for interacting with suppliers to improve the quality function for a market-leading, global organisation.

You will support the QA Engineers with the development of new models, current production quality concerns, and investigations into aftermarket warranty issues. Full training will be provided in the role, making it an ideal opportunity for a Quality Engineer looking for training and development.

About the Candidate:

We are looking for a candidate with previous experience working as a Quality Engineer, with experience working to ISO9001 standards or similar. You should live a commutable distance from Washington, near Sunderland.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Improve the suppliers' quality performance via audits defined by the QMS
  • Support suppliers during New Model Development
  • Manage supplier PPAP requirements during development and in mass production
  • Collaborate with the Design and Development (D&D) team to assist in design and product validation testing
  • Assist investigations and troubleshoot product and production issues
  • Contribute to developing corrective actions, solutions, and improvements
