Financial Reporting Specialist

Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Financial Reporting Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of annual statutory accounts under FRS102 and UK corporation tax return information
- Support the monthly/quarterly/annual Corporate reporting process under US GAAP
- Partner with intercompany accounting to review, reconcile, and agree intercompany invoicing in multiple currencies and jurisdictions
- Participate in the month-end process and produce management accounts
- Ensure accurate and timely fixed asset reporting, including capitalization of large projects
- Analysis and reporting of key general ledger codes
- Assist in reviewing and resolving accounts payable and GRIR items
- Collaborate with the ICO customer service team on financial entries
- Support internal and external audit requests, providing clear explanations and documents
- Participate in project work and process improvements as required
Requirements:
- Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in English
- Proven ability to set goals and meet deadlines
- Proficient in Excel
- Knowledge of ERP systems a plus
