Financial Reporting Specialist

As a Financial Reporting Specialist at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you will play a critical role in maintaining accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with accounting standards (US GAAP and FRS102) and internal controls (Sarbanes Oxley).
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in the preparation of annual statutory accounts under FRS102 and UK corporation tax return information.
- Partner with intercompany accounting to include review, reconciliation, and agreement of intercompany invoicing in multiple currencies and with multiple jurisdictions, and preparation of recharges to other group companies.
- Participate in the month-end process and production of management accounts.
- Ensure accurate and timely fixed asset reporting, including assisting the business in capitalizing large projects.
- Analysis and reporting of key general ledger codes.
- Assist in the review and resolution of accounts payable and GRIR items.
- Business partner with the ICO customer service team, including handling related financial entries.
- Support internal and external audit requests, providing clear supporting explanations and documents.
- Participate in project work ad hoc and as required, including process improvements.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Proficient in Excel.
