About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Practice Nurse to join our team at Minehead Medical Centre. As a Practice Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the future of our service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with a variety of long-term health conditions
  • Conduct venepuncture, blood pressure, ECG, height/weight/BMI, health promotion, childhood and adult immunisations, wound care, contraception, cervical screening, and spirometry
  • Manage long-term conditions such as diabetes, COPD, and asthma
  • Work collaboratively with the wider team to deliver excellent nursing care and maximise Practice income
Requirements
  • Registered with the NMC
  • Degree in Nursing
  • Substantial Practice Nurse experience
  • Evidence of ongoing CPD
  • Minimum of 1 Long Term Condition diploma
  • Knowledge of patients with long-term conditions
  • Familiarity with Patient Group Directions (PGD's) and associated policy
