About the Position

We are seeking a dedicated Assistant who is prepared to embrace the next phase of their career. Join us in our mission to empower the individuals we support to achieve remarkable outcomes every day. The ideal candidate will have attained or be pursuing their Level 4 Diploma in Health and Social Care and possess some leadership experience.

You will demonstrate a positive and dependable attitude, be adaptable to service needs, and be receptive to guidance from the Registered Manager.

In this role, you will support the Registered Manager and step in for them during their absence, leading your team to deliver exceptional, person-centered care. You will ensure the safety of those we support while honoring their choices, upholding dignity, and fostering independence. Celebrating the achievement of personal goals, regardless of their size, will be a daily priority.

Collaborating with the individuals we support, their families, our specialized teams, and external partners, you'll advocate for skillful interactions, person-centered planning, and cooperative efforts. You will design and execute professionally crafted support plans that genuinely enhance the quality of daily life.

Acting as a role model and mentor to your team, you will promote collaborative working. This will involve sound judgment and innovative solutions to empower both your team and the individuals we support to reach their personal goals and grow. You will oversee staff performance, training, and evaluations, ensuring your team is equipped and motivated to provide the highest quality support.

To excel in this position, you must be genuinely passionate about delivering outstanding and person-centered care. You will lead by example, inspiring, mentoring, and developing both your team and the individuals we support. You will be accountable for the quality of care and support provided, both by yourself and your team, always striving to do what is right for those we support to achieve extraordinary results.

Experience working with individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and/or visual impairments is advantageous. Flexibility to meet the service's needs is essential, including being on call to provide emergency support during evenings and weekends on a rotational basis. A valid driving license will be beneficial in this context.
