We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Salespoint Assistant to join our team at Govia Thameslink Railway. As a Salespoint Assistant, you will be the first and last point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service and support to ensure a positive experience.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
- Offer advice and guidance on our products and services, promoting and selling to customers as needed.
- Maintain a safe and attractive retail station environment, adhering to company procedures and guidelines.
- Participate in the safe running of trains and a safe station environment, following established protocols and procedures.
- Assist customers with their queries, providing information and support as required.
- Proven experience in customer-facing roles, with a strong focus on customer service and satisfaction.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and colleagues.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours and shifts.
- Basic numerical skills, with the ability to handle cash and operate a point-of-sale system.
- Ability to live in the local area, with access to independent transport to ensure timely arrival at the station.
