Key Responsibilities- Lead the creation and delivery of high-quality official statistics and data output infrastructure.
- Ensure compliance with relevant data-related legislation, including the Code of Practice for Statistics and Pre-Release Access Orders.
- Collaborate with the technology team to optimise data infrastructure for performance, security, and compliance.
- Champion the use of statistical information to support decision-making across the education sector.
- Lead on data publication modernisation, ensuring user-friendly presentation of data outputs and supporting tools.
- Provide strategic leadership to teams working on data engineering, AI, machine learning, and more.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including government bodies, educational institutions, and policy makers.
- Manage the lifecycle of data output products, creating roadmaps and ensuring they meet statutory and customer needs.
- Proven experience in leading official statistics development and communicating their value to stakeholders.

- Familiarity with the role of statistics in policy-making and sector-wide decision support.
- Experience in managing teams, conducting appraisals, and fostering a high-performance culture.
