Expert Software Engineering Manager – Generative AI and SDK Innovations

We are on the lookout for a highly proficient and seasoned Full-Stack Software Engineering Senior Manager with expertise in Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLM) to become a vital part of our Gen AI platform team. This position is centered around the creation and upkeep of cloud-native platforms specifically tailored for Generative AI and LLM development. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in reusable software components, frameworks, SDKs, microservices, APIs, cloud infrastructure, and DevOps/MLOps/LLMOps, along with a commitment to developing scalable, dependable, and efficient systems.

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in Generative AI, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or Natural Language Processing.
- Over 12 years of relevant experience in delivering complex technology solutions, ideally within a global organization.
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience in experimenting and developing with LLMs.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in deploying LLMs for production applications.
- More than 8 years of experience leading enterprise-scale software engineering or platform engineering teams.
- Deep expertise in Modern Engineering and DevOps practices, with a strong grasp of CI/CD, AI/ML pipelines, and automation tools.
Essential Skills
- Extensive knowledge and experience in Generative AI and LLM-based development.
- Proficient in developing conversational agent-based user experiences.
- Experienced in creating SDKs and libraries for developer use.
- Familiar with key LLM model APIs (e.g., AWS Bedrock, Azure OpenAI) and LLM frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex).
- Knowledgeable in multi-agent frameworks and their applications in complex problem-solving scenarios.
- Expertise in constructing secure data ingestion pipelines for unstructured data, including indexing and advanced retrieval techniques.
- Proficient in generating and manipulating text embeddings, with an understanding of embedding spaces for semantic search.
- Experienced in building production-level knowledge graphs.
- Knowledgeable in RAG concepts and systems, including VectorDBs and semantic search.
- Proficient in programming languages such as Python, TypeScript, NodeJS, and ReactJS, along with associated GenAI libraries.
- Experienced with containerization and orchestration technologies like Kubernetes and Docker.
Desirable Skills
- Familiarity with LLM guardrails and security considerations in LLM integration.
- Experience in LLM testing and evaluation methodologies.
- Collaborating with your Gen AI Platform Engineering chapter within the Cloud and Platform Engineering Portfolio.
- Working alongside Product Owners, Chapter Leads, and other squad members.
- Engaging with Agile Coaches and Scrum Leads to integrate agile principles into daily practices and receive coaching during transformation initiatives.
