We are excited to announce an opportunity for a qualified and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to become a part of our esteemed Children and Young Persons Community Eating Disorders Service (CYP-CEDS).
About the Service:
The SWL St George's Eating Disorders Service is recognized nationally and internationally for its excellence in treating eating disorders. This role is pivotal in providing specialized care for children and adolescents up to 18 years old who are experiencing eating disorders.
Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will take on significant medical leadership responsibilities, including:
- Conducting thorough assessments and leading a multi-disciplinary team (MDT) assessment clinic to ensure comprehensive evaluations and treatment planning.
- Overseeing psychiatric care, medication management, and complex case reviews in collaboration with case managers.
- Engaging in clinical governance activities, ensuring compliance with QNCC-ED standards.
- Providing senior cover for urgent consultations and managing medical and psychiatric emergencies.
- Collaborating with pediatric and inpatient eating disorder services to establish effective care pathways for patients with severe medical conditions.
- Contributing to the ongoing development and enhancement of service offerings.
