About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to oversee the daily operations of our children's home. As a Senior Children's Services Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Staff Deployment and Operations: Oversee the deployment of staff and ensure the smooth operation of the home.
  • Staff Recruitment and Development: Participate in the recruitment, training, and mentoring of staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality care.
  • Personal and Professional Growth: Promote personal and professional growth among staff through task delegation and coaching.
  • Operational Management: Manage the overall operations of the home, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
  • Training and Development: Develop and maintain a comprehensive training plan, including induction, in compliance with the Care Standards Act.
  • Health and Safety: Manage the environment to ensure compliance with Health and Safety requirements, including monitoring and documentation.
  • Safeguarding: Safeguard the health, welfare, and development of children and young people within and outside the home.
  • Relationship Building: Foster positive relationships with families, social workers, educators, and other professionals involved in the children's care.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Knowledge and Experience: Have knowledge of company policies, Children's Homes Regulations 2015, and Quality Standards.
  • Flexibility: Be flexible and willing to participate in the on-call system.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Have experience with Ofsted regulations.
  • Qualifications: Hold a Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care or higher.
