Senior Estimator – Water Industry
Location: Exeter
Salary: £75,000 - £85,000
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
About the company
J3A Recruitment is working with a leading infrastructure company to find a Senior Estimator for their Water South Business Unit in Exeter. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to contribute to high-profile projects in the water industry.
- Prepare and manage material and subcontractor inquiries, selecting suitable partners.
- Attend strategy meetings and site visits to identify potential risks.
- Compare and evaluate subcontractor quotations.
- Manage risk throughout the tender period, creating a comprehensive tender risk register.
- Present tenders to senior management, highlighting significant risks.
Requirements
- Degree in Construction or a related field (essential).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Extensive experience with analytical estimating, including projects up to £25m.
- Familiarity with various contract types (design & build, traditional, partnering, frameworks).
- Experience using estimating software.
- Skilled in cost planning and risk management.
