Buyer & Parts Administrator

We are seeking a skilled Buyer & Parts Administrator to join our team at Hernshead Recruitment Ltd. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for managing vendor relationships and working closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the smooth flow of purchased items through the business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Procure parts and consumables for vehicles and the wider business
  • Manage the procurement of parts made to our own designs, primarily in the UK, China, and the USA
  • Sourcing and placement of orders for contract and non-contract items using manual requisitions and digital parts requisition systems
  • Negotiate lower pricing whenever possible
  • Maintain Supplier details on the procurement system and review supplier performance
Requirements:
  • Proven history in working as a buyer in a small to medium enterprise
  • Knowledge of automotive parts
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and data
  • Familiarity with business tools such as Asana, Jira, etc
  • Familiarity with 'Partsbox' inventory control system
