Technical Specialist (Mechanical) - Electric Powertrains

Green Talent Network is seeking a highly skilled Technical Specialist (Mechanical) to join our dedicated R&D eMotor team in Bicester, Oxfordshire.

The company designs, develops, and tests tailor-made, highly efficient compact electric powertrains, drives, machines, and inverters for traction applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design and develop electric motors, inverters, and gearboxes with extensive experience in mechanical design.
  2. Utilize 3D CAD software (Solidworks preferred) to create detailed designs and models.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and test castings, plastics parts, weldings, assembly tooling, jigs, and fixtures.
  4. Conduct performance, validation, and lifetime testing of electric powertrains.
  5. Desirable experience in mechanical stress analysis and CFD.

We are looking for an engineer with relevant work experience in electric traction machines and inverters. If you have a PhD, it will be considered as work experience. You should be passionate about state-of-the-art automotive electric traction and have a creative approach to problem-solving.
