Job Description

**Job Title:** Electrical Design Engineer - Data Centres

**Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our team at RED Engineering Design. As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems for data centre projects.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Design and develop electrical systems for data centre projects, including power distribution, lighting, and control systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, architects, and project managers, to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Develop and maintain technical specifications, drawings, and documentation for electrical systems.
  • Conduct site visits and surveys to assess existing electrical systems and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement energy-efficient solutions to reduce energy consumption and costs.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and project teams.
  • Participate in project meetings and contribute to project planning, coordination, and execution.

**Requirements:**

  • BSc/BEng in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • MCIBSE/MIEE or equivalent certification.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical design and engineering, preferably in data centre projects.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, and control systems.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in CAD software, such as AutoCAD or Revit.
