About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Counsellor/Psychotherapist to join our EAP Clinical Team on a part-time basis. As an EAP Telephone Counsellor, you will play a vital role in providing support to clients through Initial Clinical Assessments, Risk Assessments, and Structured Counselling sessions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Initial Clinical Assessments and Risk Assessments to determine client needs and develop appropriate clinical pathways.
  • Deliver a range of support services, including Booked Assessment Appointments, In The Moment Support, and Booked Single Sessions via telephone and/or video calls.
  • Manage a caseload of clients requiring Structured Counselling, ensuring timely and effective support.
  • Write accurate and concise clinical notes for all interactions.
  • Collaborate with the Support Line Team to ensure seamless service delivery.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 300+ clinical hours and a strong clinical background.
  • Qualification as a Counsellor/Psychotherapist (L4 and above in Counselling) with BACP (or similar) registered status.
  • Excellent Assessment skills, sound Clinical decision-making, and ability to hold Boundaries.
  • Strong communication, time management, and organisation skills, with a keen sense of teamwork.
  • Ability to work a minimum of 3x full days per week, with at least 1 day based in-office in Glasgow, and cover at least 1 weekend (7.5 hours) and 1 overnight sleeping shift per month.
