Litigation Specialist

GovData Ltd is seeking an experienced Litigation Executive to join our team in Warrington. As a key member of our legal department, you will play a crucial role in managing the litigation process and providing support to our clients.
Job DescriptionAs a Litigation Executive, you will be responsible for:
- Managing a portfolio of civil litigation cases, including non-payments from clients, contractual disputes, and other related matters.
- Conducting legal research and analysis to support case preparation, including identifying relevant laws, regulations, precedents, and case studies.
- Preparing and reviewing legal documents, such as statements of case, witness statements, pleadings, and correspondence.
- Providing support during trials, including attending court hearings, coordinating with witnesses, and assisting in the presentation of evidence and legal arguments.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in law or a related field, with a paralegal certification or additional legal qualifications being advantageous.
- Proven experience (2-5 years) working in a litigation support role within a law firm or legal department.
- Strong knowledge of civil litigation processes, procedures, and legal terminology.
- Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and court rules pertaining to civil litigation.
- Proficient in legal document preparation, review, and case management software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly and concisely.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a legal team.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
