Job Title: Litigation Specialist

GovData Ltd is seeking a skilled Litigation Specialist to join our team in Warrington. As a Litigation Specialist, you will be responsible for providing support and assistance in managing the litigation process within our organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Case management: Assist in managing a portfolio of civil litigation cases, including non-payments from clients, contractual disputes, and other related matters.
  • Legal research and analysis: Conduct legal research and analysis to support case preparation, including identifying relevant laws, regulations, precedents, and case studies.
  • Document preparation and review: Prepare and review legal documents such as statements of case, witness statements, pleadings, and correspondence, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and adherence to legal requirements.
  • Trial support: Provide support during trials, including attending court hearings, coordinating with witnesses, and assisting in the presentation of evidence and legal arguments.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in law or a related field. A paralegal certification or additional legal qualifications are advantageous.
  • Proven experience (2-5 years) working in a litigation support role within a law firm or legal department.
  • Strong knowledge of civil litigation processes, procedures, and legal terminology.
  • Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and court rules pertaining to civil litigation.
  • Proficient in legal document preparation, review, and case management software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a legal team.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
