Job Title: Litigation Executive

GovData Ltd is seeking an experienced Litigation Executive to join our team in Warrington. As a key member of our legal department, you will play a crucial role in managing the litigation process and providing support to our clients.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled and organized Litigation Executive to assist in the preparation, organization, and coordination of litigation activities. Your primary focus will be on civil litigation cases, handling legal matters efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of civil litigation cases, including non-payments from clients, contractual disputes, and other related matters.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support case preparation, including identifying relevant laws, regulations, precedents, and case studies.
  • Prepare and review legal documents such as statements of case, witness statements, pleadings, and correspondence, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and adherence to legal requirements.
  • Provide support during trials, including attending court hearings, coordinating with witnesses, and assisting in the presentation of evidence and legal arguments.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in law or a related field. A paralegal certification or additional legal qualifications are advantageous.
  • Proven experience (2-5 years) working in a litigation support role within a law firm or legal department.
  • Strong knowledge of civil litigation processes, procedures, and legal terminology.
  • Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and court rules pertaining to civil litigation.
  • Proficient in legal document preparation, review, and case management software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a legal team.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
