About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Pensions Manager to join our team at abrdn. As a key member of our Reward function, you will play a critical role in the policy, design, and innovation of our pay and benefits strategy across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the abrdn UK and Ireland pension arrangements, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
- Oversee complex employee pension queries and complaints, providing expert guidance and support to stakeholders.
- Lead on TUPE, acquisition, and merger projects, ensuring seamless pension scheme transitions.
- Review and analyze audit and renewal data, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
- Develop and implement strategic pension projects, including entity changes and T&Cs updates.
- Manage and develop the Pensions Consultant team, providing coaching and mentoring to ensure their success.
- Communicate effectively with senior stakeholders, presenting key pension changes and updates to the abrdn board.
Requirements
- Proven experience in pensions management, preferably with global exposure.
- In-depth knowledge of pensions regulations and legislation, including auto-enrolment employer obligations.
- Strong understanding of pension trusteeship and governance.
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
