Job Title: Senior Solicitor - Data Protection

KPMG Law is a leading provider of legal services, and we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Solicitor to join our Data Protection team. As a Senior Solicitor, you will play a key role in advising clients on data protection laws and regulations, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist clients in developing data protection strategies and advising on compliance with data protection laws.
  • Provide expert advice on complex data protection compliance issues, including data subject rights and data breach notifications.
  • Work with clients to draft information notices, assessment of joint controller status, and draft related documentation.
  • Develop and implement data protection policies and procedures for clients.
  • Respond to data subject rights requests and prepare for and respond to data breaches.
  • Liaise with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) on behalf of clients who have received a complaint from a data subject.
Requirements:
  • At least 7 years of post-qualification experience as a data protection/commercial lawyer.
  • Experience of advising clients on compliance with data protection laws, including the GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
  • Strong understanding of data protection laws and regulations, including the GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality results.
