Alstom is on the lookout for a committed and enthusiastic HR Advisor to become part of our vibrant HR team. The ideal candidate will possess relevant experience as an HR Generalist and have a solid grasp of HR processes and practices. Your future role

Reporting to the HR Business Partner, you will work alongside a diverse group of skilled professionals within both HR and broader corporate and service functions. Your responsibilities will include providing support and guidance to managers and employees across the organization on various HR topics.

As a primary point of contact for the business function you support, you will utilize your HR expertise while remaining open to enhancing your skills and experience.

Daily, you will closely engage with various teams throughout the organization, assisting with a wide range of HR-related issues. This role will provide you with valuable exposure to the business and help propel your career forward.

We'll look to you for:

  • Advising on local terms and conditions of service and employment legislation.
  • Developing partnerships with business managers and supporting the delivery of HR KPIs.
  • Fostering positive and open employee relations.
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of standard documentation, processes, and procedures.
  • Supporting the Absence Management Process.
  • Managing Absence Management Data and KPIs.
  • Assisting with local recruitment efforts.
  • Carrying out general HR activities while ensuring continuous improvement of HR services.
  • Managing Agency Temps and their agencies.
  • Supporting the Services HR team with internal systems by monitoring and generating reports, ensuring management meets KPI deadlines.
  • Coordinating and supporting the Services HR team with People Management processes.
  • Assisting with Payroll queries and checking monthly payroll.
  • Supporting International Mobility administration.
  • Assisting with ad-hoc HR projects.

Desired Knowledge / Experience:

  • Relevant experience in a Human Resources generalist role with specific experience in operational HR and policy development.
  • Ability to work independently, as autonomy will be required.
  • Experience with HR information systems.
  • Strong knowledge of HR employment laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data for informed decision-making.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Flexibility and adaptability.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook).

Education Requirements:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent, or working towards a professional people-related qualification, e.g., CIPD.
