About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated tutor to join our team at Prospero Teaching. As an Outreach Tutor, you will be working one-on-one with young people who are currently without a school placement in the Kent area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create and deliver tailored lessons to bridge gaps in pupils' education and boost attainment levels.
  • Engage pupils who may have low confidence levels and offer structure to their daily routine.
  • Monitor pupil progression and submit weekly reports highlighting highs and lows, as well as subject areas focused on.
  • Highlight engagement levels to ensure sessions are beneficial to the young person.
Requirements
  • UK classroom teaching experience.
  • Ability to think creatively and work with pupils who have special educational needs (SEN) or are disengaged.
  • Experience working as a tutor.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or willingness to process a new application.
  • Two professional child-related references.
