Key Responsibilities:

  • Payroll Support: Support payroll processes by managing starters, leavers, and contract amendments, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
  • Employee Training: Assist in organizing and authorizing staff training, ensuring compliance with internal procedures.
  • Employee Relations: Manage and support employee sickness, including occupational health referrals and absence management plans.
  • Family-Friendly Leave: Provide advice on family-friendly leave, including maternity, paternity, and shared parental leave.
  • HR Metrics: Produce and report on HR metrics, such as sickness absence, equality data, and headcount reporting.
  • HR Casework: Handle HR casework, including grievances, disciplinary actions, and performance management.
  • HR Systems: Maintain up-to-date HR systems and employee records, ensuring legal compliance.
  • Project Support: Contribute to HR projects and initiatives, supporting the wider HR team during peak periods.
Requirements:
  • CIPD qualified or working towards it, with a relevant degree.
  • Experience in a generalist HR role within a busy office environment.
  • Strong understanding of employment law and best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Resilient, adaptable, and able to work across multiple sites when needed.
  • A valid driving license and access to a personal vehicle.
