POSITION OVERVIEW


We invite applications from candidates specializing in various domains of Physiotherapy that align with our educational and research objectives.

As a member of our interdisciplinary teams, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the student experience through effective teaching, impactful research, knowledge transfer, and engagement with business and community initiatives.

This position encompasses the
Lecturer, Assistant Professor, and Associate Professor roles.

Individuals appointed at the Lecturer level are typically early-career academics who will receive support during their probation to cultivate their academic profiles.

Upon successful completion of probationary objectives, these individuals will transition into the Assistant Professor role.

The selection committee will evaluate your application and determine the appropriate role for you during the selection and appointment processes.

TEAM OVERVIEW


The Department of Sport, Exercise and Rehabilitation is recognized as a top 5 department for research excellence (REF2021) in the UK, and ranks in the top quartile for Sport & Exercise Sciences and Physiotherapy subjects (GUG2024).

We lead a diverse array of world-class and internationally recognized research initiatives that enhance the educational experience of our students across various disciplines, including sport & exercise sciences, nutrition, coaching, management, and physiotherapy.

Our key research strengths include Aerospace Medicine, Management of Long-term Conditions, Neuromuscular Function, Optimizing Sport Performance, and Sports Coach Education.

CANDIDATE PROFILE


Applicants should possess a doctoral degree and demonstrate specialized knowledge and expertise in a relevant discipline.


Experience in designing, delivering, and evaluating high-quality teaching and learning practices, along with a proven track record of high-quality research outputs, is essential.
